Post-Hurricane Irma Orlando Disney Central Florida LEGOLAND Lake Kissimmee Bass Fishing
We are back, we are open for business, and we're doing it with a smile because that is who we are & how we do things. We're "Making Memories, One Trip At A Time" just like the ol' days.
Now, I cannot sugar coat what happened here, being directly in the path of Hurricane Irma, we got our butt's whooped bad. Obviously, "Central Florida" is a large swath but this wicked witch was 400 plus miles wide and the peninsula is only 130 miles across. From our home in the NE corner of Winter Haven on Lake Hamilton we were right on the edge of the eastern wall of the eye, the last place you want to be. Period. We had guardian angels that protected us and our home, which we are blessed and thankful for. We've since spent most of the last 10 days trying to help others, friends and families, anyone who was not so fortunate. The best thing is, we are resilient, we come together, we help our neighbors, and we are Florida Strong.
So let's focus on our passion that keeps us going after the long 16-18hr work days of recovery are over... bass fishing.
My understatement of the month here: the water level in the lakes is extremely high whether you are in Winter Haven on the Chain of Lakes, the Kissimmee Chain of Lakes, or ANYWHERE in Florida.
Fortunately, the fishing is going well and the bass don't care about our clean-up, restoration, and rebuilding efforts. They want to eat! I can tell you that if you are visiting Central Florida whether at Disney, LEGOLAND, any of the area hotels, we are doing well, and will still provide you a fantastic Florida Bass Fishing Vacation!
